Some fire insurance companies use the Insurance Services Office (ISO) rating as one factor in setting the amount of premium that is paid on a particular policy for a dwelling.
Only your insurance company can tell you if the ISO Rating and/or your proximity to a station affect your insurance rates.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
BVFRD is a non-profit governed by a Board of Directors and supported by membership dues, fund-raisers, donations, federal grants, and assistance from firefighters’ associations. It is not supported by a city, county, fire district, or other governmental entity.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Payment of your membership dues insures you will not be billed for Fire/Rescue runs to your home or property. Terms for payment of dues on a rental property should be decided between the owner and renter and ideally should be specified in the lease agreement. Membership benefits both the tenant and owner. Dues and donations are tax deductible.
